How Comeet screens your resume (and how to get through)

Comeet is a hiring system widely used by Israeli tech companies. It merged with Spark Hire in 2023 and is now sold as Spark Hire Recruit, though job links still use comeet.com. Employers can add knockout questions that reject automatically and use AI to rank resumes against their requirements.

How to tell you’re on Comeet

  • URL contains comeet.com/jobs/<company>/… or the page embeds a Comeet widget
  • Common on Israeli tech careers pages

How it screens you

  • Widely used by Israeli tech companies; merged with Spark Hire in 2023 and now sold as Spark Hire Recruit.
  • Parses your resume into the candidate profile and adds the posting’s custom questions, which can act as knockouts.
  • Hiring teams review and rate candidates together in the pipeline.

What gets you through

  • Match the posting’s language: English for international companies, Hebrew when the posting is in Hebrew.
  • Answer custom questions fully; they are often read before the resume.
  • Use a clean, text-based PDF so dates and titles parse correctly.

How can you tell if a job uses Comeet?

Hosted Comeet job pages use addresses like comeet.com/jobs/company-name/ followed by a job code, and some older links use comeet.co. Many company careers pages embed a Comeet job list instead. You can apply with your resume or your LinkedIn profile, from desktop or mobile.

The employer decides which fields appear on the form and which are required, so one Comeet form can ask only for a resume while another adds several questions.

How does Comeet screen applicants?

Employers can turn single-choice and dropdown questions into knockout questions. A wrong answer results in automatic rejection, and the employer can also send an automatic rejection email. Comeet’s AI Resume Review then evaluates resumes against the requirements the hiring team set for the role and ranks candidates.

  • Answer custom questions carefully. They are often the first thing reviewed.
  • State each requirement from the posting plainly in your resume, since the AI review compares against those requirements.
  • Write in the language of the posting: English for international roles, Hebrew if the posting is in Hebrew.

What resume format works best on Comeet?

Comeet accepts resumes as PDF, RTF, DOC and DOCX. Use a clean, text-based PDF with one column so job titles and dates read correctly, and keep it consistent with your LinkedIn profile, since you can also apply with LinkedIn and reviewers may compare the two.

Common Comeet problems and fixes

I was rejected right after applying

That usually means a knockout question. The employer keeps the application for future use, so a later, better-matched role at the same company can still work out.

I want my data deleted

Ask the employer directly, or contact Spark Hire Recruit support and ask for your data to be deleted from all Spark Hire Recruit customers.
