How can you tell if a job uses Jobvite?
Jobvite career sites usually live at jobs.jobvite.com/company-name. Links shared from Jobvite often carry tracking parameters such as nl or jvst. If the apply flow or confirmation email names Jobvite, you are on Jobvite, even when it sits under the company’s own domain.
Jobvite is part of Employ, which also owns Lever and JazzHR. The products are separate, so the forms differ.
How does Jobvite read and match your resume?
Jobvite says each resume is parsed and a list of skills is extracted, then the job description is parsed the same way, and candidates are matched on how similar their skills are. It also extracts up to your last seven job titles to understand career progression, without reading durations from the titles.
Two practical points follow from Jobvite’s own description:
- Name your skills the way the job description does, where that is honest. “Salesforce” and “CRM administration” are easier to match than a vague “sales systems”.
- Use clear, standard job titles. Jobvite learns how titles progress over a career, so “Senior Software Engineer” is more useful than an internal title like “Engineer III, Platform Guild”.
Employers can also add screening questions to the form, and on enterprise roles those are often required. Answer them consistently with your resume.
What resume format works best on Jobvite?
Use a one-column, text-based PDF or .docx with standard headings, a dedicated Skills section and clear job titles. Keep dates as Month YYYY. Avoid tables, columns and text in images, because skills and titles that do not parse cannot be matched.
- List core tools and skills in a Skills section and repeat the important ones in context inside your bullets.
- Keep your last several job titles accurate and easy to read.
- After uploading, check any autofilled fields before you submit.
